The Story
Aunt Jackie's was developed to give textured hair communities an affordable, no-compromise product line at mass retail. The brand's name and aesthetic evoke the kitchen-table wisdom of a trusted aunt: someone who knows your hair better than any beauty editor. The line has been a community staple since its 2008 launch.

Kaleidoscope
by Jesseca Dupart
New Orleans-born Jesseca Dupart launched Kaleidoscope from her salon business and grew it into one of the largest Black-owned hair care brands in the US. Best known for the Miracle Drops hair growth serum -- now distributed at Target, Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, and Sally Beauty.
KAZMALEJE
by LaToya, LaTasha & LaTrice Stirrup
Three sisters -- the Stirrup triplets -- built KAZMALEJE around a simple problem: no comb existed that worked well on natural hair without breakage. Their wide-tooth detangling comb became a bestseller, and the brand has since expanded into a full line of curl-friendly tools. Available at Target.
Kreyol Essence
by Yve-Car Momperousse & Stephane Jean-Baptiste
Haitian Black Castor Oil for hair, skin, and body, sourced directly from farmers in Haiti. A Shark Tank alum carried at Ulta, Whole Foods, and Wegmans, built as a social enterprise supporting Haitian agriculture.
